PLAYFUL APPROACH TO INTERNATIONAL CONTEMPORARY ART
Books help explain the world. Art can do this too in its own unique way. However, the regionale10exhibition at Admont Monastery with its fine museum and wonderful library is not only about books and art. More than this is needed if we want to gain knowledge, and it all focuses on the human ability of reflection.
And this ability of reflection is the subject of an international exhibition spanning the library, exhibition rooms, the Nature Cabinet and some other fascinating places on the grounds of the monastery. On this amazing culture trail, visitors become explorers and partners of art, invited to be sceptical, curious and to become active.
This kind of art does not need consumers, but rather participants. And this is fully in line with St. Benedict's teachings, ubiquitous in Admont, and with the order's rule of "ora et labora" which demands prayers and physical work. Now translated into art, for art does not require mere admiration alone but it must be reflected about.

Reflection is ensured beyond generations: "REMIX Admont", a music project with pupils of the Admont Collegiate School, offers surprising acoustic treats for the ears.
